Michaela Vrazdova graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic in September 2016. While studying at Charles University, Ms. Vrazdova interned at the Organization for Aid to Refugees in Prague where she managed legal support for clients applying for asylum and subsidiary protection in the Czech Republic. Ms. Vrazdova also interned at the corporate department of an international law firm, Clifford Chance, where she advised on corporate mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Vrazdova won the Best Thesis Award at the Department of Labor Law at Charles University in Prague and won an award from Dentons, an international law firm, for her thesis comparing Covenant not to Compete in the United States and the Czech Republic. During her studies at Charles University, Ms. Vrazdova was selected through a competitive process into an international dual degree program in cooperation with Nova Southeastern University. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Florida summa cum laude in May 2018. During her studies, she won the Cali Award for Highest Grade in class in Business Entities, Property, Legal Research and Writing II, and Torts. Ms. Vrazdova passed the New York Bar on October 23, 2018, and was admitted into the Bar on February 25, 2019. Ms. Vrazdova was also a member of Nova Law Review and Moot Court Society. She placed 2nd in the Upperclassmen Feinreider Moot Court competition and her team placed 5th in the U.S. Northeast round of the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition. Ms. Vrazdova was also awarded the Rebecca Knox Public Interest Law Summer Fellowship in her second year of law school. Ms. Vrazdova’s article discussing the admissibility of police reports into evidence under the business record exception to hearsay was published in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy Blog. Ms. Vrazdova is fluent in Czech and Slovak.

I am a highly-qualified lawyer with a substantial more than 18 years’ experience in European, International, U.S., Russian and Czech Law. My on-going work as a practicing attorney, licensed both in Russia and the Czech Republic, Member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), my second graduate degree in World Economy and English and my postgraduate LL.M. degree in U.S. Law from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, U.S., are directly related to cross-border problem-solving, including International Trade, Tax, Banking, Corporate, Bankruptcy, International Intellectual Property, Immigration Law, Arbitration, commercial transactions, regulatory issues regarding domestic and international product distribution, marketing and promotion, consumer protection regulation, competition law, corporate, legal and data compliance, privacy and data protection, GDPR, law enforcement, anti-corruption and bribery, legislation analyzing and risk mitigation, eDiscovery. Being the Head of Corporate Business Legal Support Division and Deputy Head of Legal Department of Absolut Bank (the former Russian affiliate of KBC Group), I received an extensive multinational multitask/ multiproject program managment experience at large international financial group (KBC Group). After leaving Absolut Bank, being the Head Partner of my own international law firm, I continue my legal practice in the relevant areas working for my clients, including large international corporations. I have knowledge of both the civil law and common law systems and principles, including interdisciplinary issues and international comparative law, great experience in interpretation and application of rules, legal instruments, principles and policies, in conducting legal research and analysis, preparation of legal documents, educational programs, presentations and reports. I have inter alia a progressive experience in HR, budgetary, finance, general administration and other management issues, extensive litigation work experience at the national and international level in the profit international companies. In addition, I have an extensive international development project and grant program experience in EU, more than 6 years’ experience in non-profit sector (legal support of non-profit organizations).
